Very Chocolate Cherry Bread
Soak 1 Cup dried cherries in warm water for 10 minutes.
Drain.
1 1/2 Cup flour
3/4 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Mix dry ingredients well.
6 Tbs. Unsalted butter softened
1 Cup sugar
3/4 tsp. Vanilla
3/4 Cup sour cream (I use fat free)
2 eggs
Mix wet ingredients 1 at a time and add to dry ingredients, mixing well.
Fold in drained cherries and
1 Cup chocolate chips
Turn into greased or sprayed 9"X5" loaf pan or 2 smaller ones.
Smooth top.
Bake 325 degrees for 60 minutes or until pick comes out dry.
Cool on rack for 15 minutes.
Unmold to cool before slicing.
Serve warmed with vanilla ice cream.
