The United Methodist Church offers many service opportunities. Mission trips are organized locally, nationally, and internationally. Spending our time and talents to help others is the way we put our Christian faith into action. The personal experience is always rewarding. You receive much more than you give.
The Community UMC missions committee helps members of the congregation get connected to the right missions project. If you would like more information on missions or the team, please contact us at info@communityunitedmethodist.org.

Chatham, Illinois
2010
Community UMC responded to the January earthquake in Haiti through UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief. In addition to financial donations, area churches collected 826 pounds of supplies for Health Kits. These were delivered to the Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Chatham, Illinois by a mission team on February 2-3. The team packed over 800 health kits on that trip. You can download pictures of the collection drive and work trip in PDF (warning: 11.6 megabytes).
