Proposed Financial Plan to Pay for Three Year Lease of Meiley-Swallow Hall 1. First year of lease (approximately $70,000) would be raised in a special Appeal similar to those run for the tent and stained glass windows. The Appeal should begin as soon as possible after the lease is signed and completed in time not to conflict with the 2008 Stewardship campaign or the 2008 1st Mile initiative. 2. The second and third years of the lease (approximately $150,000) would be raised as part of a capital campaign to be completed by fall 2009. This capital campaign would also include the infrastructure repairs and upgrades which the trustees have identified for the church building. Additionally, it may include any building addition plans or renovations that are identified for a new OnCenter home. 3. If the capital campaign is not approved by the congregation, then the remaining two years of the lease could be included in the 2009 Stewardship campaign where church members would pledge toward the lease retirement.
